Welcome, I'm Janet.
MEET YOUR PROVIDER
Whatever brought you here today, you're in the right place.
I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare. I earned my PMHNP degree from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida, and am currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. My passion for mental health grew during my years as a nurse, where I witnessed firsthand how emotional struggles can affect not only individuals, but entire families.

One experience that particularly shaped my path was caring for a young mother struggling with severe postpartum depression. It reinforced my belief that meaningful care begins with understanding the whole person, not just the symptoms. One of the comments I hear most often is, "You actually listen." To me, that is one of the greatest compliments I can receive. I believe the best treatment plans are built through conversation, collaboration, and taking the time to understand your whole story before creating a path forward together.

As a first-generation Cuban-American, I understand how difficult mental health conversations can sometimes be within many Latino families and communities. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and free from judgment. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, women's mental health concerns, or simply feeling unlike yourself, I am here to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.
